Louisiana Circular Steel Hub (LCSH)
The leadership team of Louisiana Circular Steel Hub (LCSH) remains steadfast in its mission to advance sustainable manufacturing and circular economy innovation in Northwest Louisiana.
While plans to begin production have been placed on hold pending identification of a suitable site — following the sale of the former Libbey Glass Plant for demolition — LCSH continues to move forward with initiatives that will strengthen the foundation for future operations.
At the forefront of this next phase is the launch of the Manufacturing Futures Foundation, the nonprofit arm of LCSH dedicated to advanced manufacturing training and workforce development. The foundation will soon offer an Advanced Manufacturing Process Excellence Certification, designed to prepare individuals to enter the workforce with the skills and critical thinking needed to improve processes, drive efficiency, and lead change from their first day on the job.
In parallel, LCSH will continue developing circular manufacturing processes and machinery focused on metals and plastics — key areas for building a resilient, sustainable industrial base in Louisiana.
By aligning these two missions — workforce advancement and circular manufacturing innovation — LCSH is setting the stage for the eventual launch of full-scale production operations, rooted in community impact, environmental responsibility, and technical excellence.
This strategic transition marks not a pause, but a purposeful evolution — one that ensures LCSH grows from a position of strength and readiness to meet the challenges of the next generation of American manufacturing.
